Keep characters consistent
Elements, reference mode and Consistent shots: how to get the same face in every shot.
- Where
- AI Tools
- Cost
- Depends on the model; reference sheets 2 credits a view
Words describe millions of people; a reference image describes one. Consistency in MoviePro comes from sending the right images with every shot, not from longer prompts.
The checklist that fixes most drift
- The character is an element with a front, three-quarter and profile view (Generate reference sheet).
- The shot lists them under Cast & elements in frame.
- Their Look & wardrobe names every garment. If the costume changes, that's a new reference, not a new prompt.
- The scene's continuity bar has a Location element.
- Apply project look is on.
In Video Studio
Use the Elements picker to add characters and locations, then Switch to Reference mode so their images are sent too. In the prompt, refer to them by name or as [Image1], [Image2].
Consistent shots in AI Tools
AI Tools → Elements has Consistent shots: pick elements, then under Shot settings choose Video shots or Stills. Video shots have locks: Faithfulness to references, Lock face features, Lock color palette, Lock lighting style. Add shot descriptions with + and click Generate shots. Use these elements in Video Studio carries them across.
When the model refuses a face
Seedance won't take photorealistic faces as references. Make drawn versions (Make a drawn reference sheet, 2 credits per drawing): it uses the drawing for identity and still renders a photographic clip. Or switch that shot to Kling 3.0, which accepts photos.
Fix a face after the fact
If one take is right in every way except the face, Avatar Studio → Face swap (face only) or Character replace (the whole person) changes it without re-rendering the shot. See "Avatars and character replace".
