Your first film in one sitting
Idea to exported film in four pages: AI director, Generate shots, the timeline, Export.
- Where
- Shot List
- Cost
- 1 credit to plan, then 1–9 credits per second of footage depending on the model
The fastest way to understand MoviePro is to make something small from start to finish. This lesson skips every optional step and gets a 20–30 second film onto your screen. Every later track goes back and does one of these stages properly.
1. Plan it with the AI director
- Open Shot List (Pre-production in the sidebar) and click AI director.
- On the Concept tab, describe the film in two or three sentences: who it's about, what happens, how it ends.
- Set Target length (seconds) to 20 or 30, pick a Style and Pacing, then click Direct · 1 credit.
- Click Add to shot list. Each shot now has a prompt, camera, length and elements.
A good concept names one character, one place and one change. "A night-shift baker finds a note in the flour bin and decides to leave town" gives the director much more to work with than "a moody film about a baker".
2. Render every shot
- Click Generate shots in the shot list header.
- Pick a Model. For a first draft choose a cheaper one such as Wan 3.0 (1–4 credits per second); switch to Seedance 2.5 or Kling 3.0 once you like the plan.
- Tick the shots (Select all), check the line that reads N credits · balance N, then click Generate N shots · N cr.
Renders carry on in the background. Failed shots are refunded and can be re-run with Retry N failed.
3. Put it on the timeline
When the clips are in, click Assemble N clips to timeline. MoviePro lays them out in shot order, trims each to its screen time and opens the Video Editor. Press Space to watch it.
4. Export
Click Export (top right of the editor), keep MP4 (H.264) and a 1080p preset, and click Start Export. The file downloads when it's done.

What you skipped
You didn't write a script, design a cast, set a look or mix sound. That's fine for a first pass: you now know the shape of the whole pipeline, and each of those steps has its own track.
