Build your cast
Characters, locations, props and styles as elements, with reference sheets and voices.

- 2 credits per reference-sheet view; 3 to design a voice
An element is a character, location, prop or style with reference images. Once a shot names an element, its images go to the model with that shot, which is how the same face survives from the first shot to the last.
Create an element
- Open Cast & Elements and check the Project pill.
- Click New element, choose the Kind (Character, Location, Prop, Style), and give it a Name and a Description. For characters this is Look & wardrobe: be specific about age, hair, build and every garment.
- Add Reference images (up to 12) with Upload, or click Generate reference sheet and pick 3, 4 or 6 views (2 credits a view).
- Click Save element.
If you broke the script down, Create from script makes them all at once (lesson "Break the script down").
Start from photos of a real person
On a character's Look tab, Upload 1–4 photos, then:
- Describe from photos · 1 cr writes the Look & wardrobe for you, or
- Build full character set from photos writes it and draws the turnaround.
Only use people who've agreed to it.
Give characters a voice
The Voice tab has Design a voice · 3 cr (three takes; Use this voice on the one you like) and Clone from a recording (upload or Record 10 seconds to 3 minutes, 5 credits). That voice is then used whenever the character speaks.
Seedance and photoreal faces
Seedance rejects photorealistic faces in reference images, even AI-generated ones. The fix is a pencil version: Make a drawn reference sheet on the element (2 credits per drawing). Seedance gets the drawing for identity, and the clips still come out photographic. Other models keep using the photos.
Use them in shots
On the shot list, open a shot's Edit shot and add elements under Cast & elements in frame. Elements also feed the storyboard, Generate shots and Video Studio's Elements picker. Each card shows In N shots.
